Having trained as a veterinary nurse primarily, I started home dog boarding in Croydon some 27 years ago. I wanted to give them the companionship and personal attention they richly reward us with, unerringly so. Nothing less would suffice, so I made it my aim to offer them a ‘home from home’ environment without kennels or cages.
My experience has also encompassed being a volunteer for a local Croydon based animal rescue group for 14 years, such is my passion for animals.
When it comes to Home Boarding I only take in 3 dogs at any one time for short or long stays, people often ask, “How do they all get on”? The answer is more simple than it appears. Our canine friends are inherently highly sociable pack animals. By careful screening, I rule out dominant aggressive individuals who might ascend any pack order and cause conflict to another person’s much loved animal whilst in my care. All dogs are vetted carefully this way, and owners visit first before making a booking arrangement. If there’s uncertainty on how your dog will fit in with others, then a short trial period is recommended.
Luckily living adjacent to a National Trust Woodland and on the doorstep of Surrey’s beautiful North Downs, I can offer all the exercise and play area any dog could want: Contact 020 8657 8140
Since my initial role of home boarding I have extended my work to suit those who need alternatively a dog walker in Croydon or a cat feeding service extending into other areas, such as Kent
For added peace of mind as well as being a trained veterinary nurse, I’m insured for Public Liability and Third Party Risks with Cliverton. Also Professional Pet Minding is fully licenced by the Croydon Council for home boarding of dogs.
I can offer a wealth of happy customer references and most importantly am reliable and trustworthy.

Dog Boarding Enquires. If you are looking for a friendly Home-from-Home environment and your dog is peaceable with others then don’t hesitate in making contact for further information. I only take in a small number of dogs and prior to boarding I welcome owners to come and meet me first at my home address to discuss their dog’s needs, without obligation in making a booking. Suitability is important within the realms of home boarding; dogs need to be sociable and tolerant of others.

At Professional Pet Minding, I welcome a small number of dogs for boarding into my Croydon based home. In offering individual attention I like to give them freedom with security. There is no conventional kenneling or cages to cause restraints, just a comfortable home-from-home environment. Exercising facilities are excellent, the local woodland in Croydon providing 200 acres, where your dog will be walked twice daily.
Both long and short stay home boarders are more than welcome. In addition, having trained as a veterinary nurse I can give your dog any prescribed medication if required, with confidence.walking
This service is for dog owners who are unable to give their dogs the necessary exercise during the day; I can supply this outlet. Dogs need socializing and stimulus. Left alone for long hours they can develop behavioural problems such as barking or destructive chewing, often out of boredom.
Be rest assured dogs are walked in small groups only, combining companionship with safety.feeding
Cats benefit from staying in their own homes being territorial by nature. On a visiting basis I tend to their needs, clean litter trays etc. giving my time and attention. Cats are highly individualistic, so I always respect their wants and wishes!
